We hadn't gone for very long 'fore anyone said it was easy But you long for anyone Take my place in the promised land It's just around the bend You'd think that I'd be left out? Just throw your voice and turn and round it up What you loathe is not the key For anyone said it was easy I really thought that I could turn around I wonder life would, like, would be without Feeling this way is the minimum of everyone's doubt and delusion What you loathe is not the key Baking in insecurities But I only wanted to see you laughing Beneath the trees and tattered leaves I will hunt for you

It doesn't feel good, no anymore See me walk in Through the subway And I'm always on time It doesn't feel good, no anymore Oh, somewhere make believe There we will be somewhere you can't see Subjects of the cave See me walk in, through the subway And I'm always on time (it doesn't feel good, no anymore) And above me, another doorway It was hooked like a smile It doesn't feel good no anymore Oh, somewhere make believe There we will be somewhere you can't see Subjects of the cave From the nave from the grave from this lemonade From the plans we made Subjects of the cave

You can always look much clearer Staring at a broken mirror To disguise when you are able With your feet upon the table I've seen trouble climbing in a hole Better make it double when you're on a roll But I can't just abide no stranger You can always look much cleaner Charging out in the arena Til the next day I discover When you told me he's your brother Breaking out the tailor that sews your holes Breaking down the sailor, better slow your roll But I just can't abide no stranger, no Said I just can't abide no stranger What you said didn't bother me at all I wanna learn about you now

No more cartoons Slowly leaving behind that age Everything that was optimistic Now is only ironic And the only thing you can believe in is perfection at all costs Cute cartoons, replaced by CGI and photoshop And I'm talking to you But I don't know If I should let you in on my little secret Or if I should just go And just really let it flow or if I should believe in the sanctity of my mind's original idea I've an evilness inside me But only to myself And sometimes it's winning That's when everything's a problem And everything is gray But there are signs of light, signs of light
